That might be a common issue among Apple’s customers. After rummaging through a few dozen to-do apps and task manager apps I came to the conclusion that email is used as a to-do list because it’s there, it’s convenient, it’s free.
Email? Or, Tasks?
My search through various apps led me to Reminders and Notes which work very well together and sync well between macOS and iOS. Along the way I found a number of to-do apps and task managers worthy of a look. Taskade sits on the list as worthy because it combines basic functions– tasks, outlines, notes, collaboration, sharing, and easy organization.
At first glance Taskade looks simple enough and that’s a good thing. We need gentle learning curves these days.
Tasks can be displayed by the day which makes it easy to see what’s coming with a quick glance. Yet, notice that the tasks can have sub-tasks, and that’s exactly what a task manager app does.
What you get is an application and an online system where the end results– tasks managed effectively– is greater than the sum of the parts. Checklists, outlines, and notes are available anywhere– online, or in the app. All three can be customized to your liking via format and style options. Tags and folders let you organize each component, and you can have as many sub0tasks as you need.
Now, here’s the kicker. All of this is shareable– online and with teams that use Taskade. Start with a list of items, add notes as needed, move ideas and procedures into outlines, and then collaborate with others.
Taskade runs online, on macOS, iOS, Android, and Windows. What’s not to like? It’s free.
Caveats? It’s free.
That means somewhere down the road we’ll see a price tag that is likely to be based upon team collaborations and more professional level features. As it stands now. Taskade is fun to use. The interface is simple and straightforward. The built-in templates make choosing a to-do list, notes, or outline method point and click, or tap.
