iPhones have Clock and Clock has a built-in timer. What about the Mac? Sorry. No go. Macs have a clock and you can set it to view the second hand, but it’s not a timer in the Clock sense. Range is the little Mac app that times whatever you need.
Not long ago colleague Natalia Nowak asked, “Somebody, Please Put ‘Clock’ On A Mac.” Nobody did. Mac users can find many such timers and clocks, but nothing that works the way Clock works on iOS.
Range is not Clock. Range is an elegant and inexpensive timer for the Mac.
When all you need is a simple timer to keep track of what you are doing… and for how long.
See? Simple and elegant. And only 99-cents. Range could not be much easier to setup and use.
Use the notes field to enter a name and a description for the timer. Click to start. Click to stop.
Yeah, that’s it. What you get is a timer that just keeps timing until you click to stop. It’s an easy way to time specific tasks which gives you a better idea how long you need to perform a number of tasks or tasks in sequence.
What would make Range better?
A countdown option. An alert on the countdown option. Not bad for 99-cents.
