Guess what? Someone made some headphones that look even more weird than AirPods. Think of an earmuff that plays music and podcasts. I know, right? It took me awhile to buy into AirPods but the battery didn’t last two years, so it’s kind of a requirement to buy them again. Now we get earmuffs?
Ok, none of us are fans of sticking something into or on our ears for looks (ear rings don’t count in that assessment) but we do it because the advantage– sound– is worth it. Even with AirPods.
Chris Matyszczyk thinks AirPods suck too, but found something worse. Human ears. Or, Human earmuffs.
These headphones make Apple’s AirPods look inhuman
Really? I’m thinking maybe, uh, um– no.
Hmmm. Let me think about that for a moment. They look familiar.
A startup called Human Inc. creates wireless over-ear headphones that may look slightly more visually alluring than AirPods. You see, they’re just two ear-muffs.
Human ears. LOL. Sure. Why not. After AirPods, nobody cares about crazy looks anymore, amirite?
It’s the over-ear wireless headphone that’s just a big, black ear-muff. Or, indeed, two… these are two over-ear sound muffs that also turn into a Bluetooth speaker.
Human ears look familiar from the front because they resemble headphones and there are enough crazies wandering around the streets with those attached to their noggins that people might not notice that these are stuck to the ears as speakers rather than attach to the head.
There’s no headband, so these are just two perfectly formed lumps that you attach to your ears.
Come on. Is this worse than AirPods?
Yeah, I know. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and now music is in the ear of the daring.
Are you daring enough to go with Human ears?
Think of them as over-the-ear headphones without the strap attachment. Also, think of them as damned expensive at $399. I can get two pairs of AirPods for that much. Or, some similarly looking noise reduction headphones.
The introductory offer is a mere $259 and you’ll know they’re a big hit when you start seeing them around town. If you can tell them apart from regular headphones. Notice that Human did not show any bald guys wearing them? That would be weird.
