You can put too many on a page, of course, but anyone involved in design knows the rules. There are never enough fonts. I don’t have a favorite but I have favorites. Monotype’s Helvetica Neue is one. Here is another favorite. I just need to figure out where to use it.
Font From Hell
Hellvetica is a font that needs no introduction. Once you see it, you understand. The concept came from Zack Rolf and the font was built by Matthew Woodward.
Seeing is believing.
That’s all you need to know.
Hellvetica is like Helvetica but tortured, contorted, out of place kerning where nothing is as it should be, as if the typesetting machine had a disease.
All it takes is a click to download. And a few clicks to install (or, just drag and drop the TTF file into your Mac’s Fonts folder.
I think of Hellvetica as Comic Sans but with a better pedigree. Bizarro Font? These guys are good enough that doing some kern twisting to Time Roman and calling Bizarro Times™ would be a great idea.
Yep. Numbers, symbols, and lowercase.
Who knows? Maybe in another 20 years or so they will come up with Hellvetica Neue. I like the idea of Bizarro Times, though.
