Welcome to Mac360. Our site began in mid-2004 as something of an experiment. One Apple customer wanted to try out the latest version of Mac OS X Panther Server, while a friend, also a Mac lover, wanted to try out the new world of blogging.
The two put Mac360 on the map in July 2004 and gave Apple’s customers a very independent voice for opinions and commentary, news and reviews of all things Apple. Nearly 10,000 articles later Mac360 came to a sad end. One of the site’s original founders, Tera Jean Patricks, died of cancer in 2006 and Ron McElfresh was diagnosed with ALS in early 2020. You may read of his journey at RonMcElfresh.com.
We agree with the sentiment that all good things come to an end. The world has changed since 2004. Apple became the iPod company, then the iPhone and iPad company, and now Apple Watch sells nearly as much as the Mac; which still sells in record numbers.
Apple has over a billion customers. Many hundreds of websites blog about all things Apple albeit sometimes with deranged perspectives and unflattering considerations which have replaced thoughtful and considered analysis.
Thank you for visiting Mac360. We wish you the best.
