With Amazon Luna, you stream with 1080p resolution at a smooth 60 frames a second.
You’ll need to have an Amazon Prime membership or sign up for Luna+ to start playing, though, and these subscriptions open the door to a variety of games. It’s worth noting, however, that the range isn’t as broad as some other cloud services we’ve checked out. When we gave Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown a go via Amazon Luna, tough, we were impressed by how easy it was to get going – all through our internet browser and with only a 10 Mbps internet speed needed. The gameplay was smooth, keeping up the high frame rate and quality even on the game’s max settings.
We did pick up on a bit more lag time than other platforms, which could be a bit of a downer for those who are into really fast gameplay.
